Welcome to PinScope (referred to as "PinScope", "we", "our", or "us"), an AI-powered hardware validation platform that offers intelligent tools to assist in electronic design validation, BOM analysis, and automated rule generation for hardware engineers.

By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, you must not use our services.

1. Description of Services

PinScope provides a comprehensive suite of AI-enhanced tools designed to assist hardware engineers and electronics professionals with:

• Automated hardware validation and rule generation
• AI-powered BOM (Bill of Materials) analysis and component verification
• Schematic and design file processing and validation
• Component library management and specification tracking
• Project-based collaboration and team management
• Integration with component databases and supplier APIs
• Additional features and enhancements that may be added in the future

2. Account Registration and Access

To access PinScope's services, you must create an account using a valid email address and authentication credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and to update it as necessary. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use our services.

3. User Content and Intellectual Property

You may upload schematics, BOM files, design documents, component specifications, and other engineering materials ("User Content") to PinScope. You retain ownership of your content, but by uploading it, you grant PinScope a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, process, analyze, and transmit your content as necessary to provide our services.

You are solely responsible for the legality, reliability, and appropriateness of the content you upload. You agree not to use PinScope to upload or share any content that:

• Is unlawful, misleading, offensive, or violates the rights of others
• Contains proprietary information you do not have the right to share
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of third parties
• Contains malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
• Violates export control laws or regulations

4. Use of AI and Third-Party Services

PinScope uses artificial intelligence systems and third-party service providers, including large language models (LLMs), component databases, and supplier APIs to power its features. These providers are not affiliated with PinScope. As part of the service, your uploaded designs, component data, and analysis requests may be transmitted to and processed by these third-party providers.

By using PinScope, you consent to this processing and acknowledge that while we take reasonable steps to protect your data through encryption and secure transmission, we cannot guarantee complete confidentiality or control over how third-party AI systems and databases process your content.

5. Disclaimer of Accuracy and Professional Responsibility

While PinScope aims to provide helpful and accurate analysis, validation, and recommendations, you acknowledge that AI-generated responses, automated rule generation, and component analysis may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

IMPORTANT: PinScope is a design assistance tool, not a replacement for professional engineering judgment.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any:

• Hardware validation rules or recommendations
• BOM analysis results or component specifications
• Design rule checks or compliance assessments
• Component availability, pricing, or lifecycle information
• Automated suggestions or AI-generated content

You agree to always independently verify PinScope's outputs and results through proper engineering review and testing, and take full responsibility for any decisions, designs, or manufacturing based on its output.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PINSCOPE AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any design errors, component failures, or manufacturing defects resulting from reliance on PinScope's analysis
• Any financial losses, production delays, or business interruptions
• Any missed design issues, validation errors, or compliance failures
• Any damages resulting from third-party component data inaccuracies
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

Our total liability for any claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for PinScope services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Subscription and Payment Terms

PinScope offers various subscription plans and usage-based pricing models. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in our refund policy.

We reserve the right to change pricing, subscription terms, or payment methods at any time with at least 30 days' notice. Any changes will be communicated via email or through the platform.

If payment fails or your account becomes delinquent, we may suspend or terminate your access to the service until payment is resolved.

8. Data Security and Privacy

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no system is completely secure, and you acknowledge the inherent risks of transmitting data over the internet.

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our algorithms

• Use the service for military weapons, nuclear, or other restricted applications without proper authorization

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to PinScope if you violate these Terms, engage in harmful behavior, or use the service in an unlawful manner.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

You acknowledge that PinScope and your use of the service may be subject to export control laws and regulations. You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and not to use PinScope in violation of such laws.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Continued use of PinScope after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must discontinue use of the service.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be replaced with an enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
